Affordable Housing Fact Book

The Chicago Rehab Network partnered with the Voorhees Center to develop an Affordable Housing Fact Book.

The Fact Book provides an overview of affordable housing in Chicago and Illinois. It compiles 2010 Census data into Fact Sheets for each community area and ward in the city, as well as the state and its major cities. Data includes housing tenure, number of units, occupancy status, housing costs and household income, among others.

This data can be translated into policy, advocacy and action around affordable housing issues in Chicago communities.

The first Affordable Housing Fact Book was published in the 1980s. This is the fourth publication. Previous publications can be found here.
